2014: Reflections....

2014! Thank you for being such a roller coaster of a year.

It was my second and final year at UCLA. And I am so glad I finished with those classes even though I could have finished with classes much sooner if I had gotten the classes I needed. I had summer school again at UCI. Much things learned from there.

Oh Stella. My dearest Stella. Thank you for bringing such great happiness into my life. You derpy, dumb, beautiful dog. I am so glad I have you now. You are always what I have wanted. A DOGE! Whenever I am sad or depressed I just have one look at your face and everything just goes away.

Love lost and Love found.
Never sell yourself short. 110714

Ended the year with Vegas again. Buffet food is the best. Adventures are the best. Cheers to another year.

As always, let us see what NYE Resolutions I have completed.

1. Be healthy
No. Food is good.

2. Get better grades
Yes. I think I did this some what!

3. Pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination
Literally had nothing to worry about. I didn't know any of the drugs and I still passed. LOL. But now, I have a useless Certification that I'm not currently making use of.

4. Be bold
I think I did this somewhat! I took a chance. Yes. Yes I did.

COOOL BEANS. 3/4 is pretty good! This year I think I have an actual list that I want to accomplish:

My 2015 New Years Resolutions are:

1. Be healthy
Gotta start with this. But I'll actually try this time! I swear!
I just wanna look good naked.
2. Finish my book queue
Let's see what I have on my queue:

  1. A Feast for Crows
  2. A Dance with Dragons
  3. Looking for Alaska
  4. Paper Towns
  5. Cuckoo's Calling

3. Finish my video games queue
So many unfinished games !

  1. Kingdom Hearts 1.5
  2. Kingdom Hearts 2.5
  3. Kirby Deluxe
  4. Pokemon Sapphire

4. Find a job
So I can move out!

5. Take better care of my body
As in.. go for checkups Linda! Go do blood work. Go to the dermo. Go to the ob. Why are you becoming a doctor if you keep avoiding doctors? HAHAHA

6. Be more proactive
Be a better speaker. Stop hiding in shadows. Work on blog. Make videos?

7. Be more organized
Clean my room. Use an actual calendar. Clean desk.

There it is. Dang so many things to accomplish! Hope I can do it.

2013: Reflecting Again!

I guess it seems like a tradition that I do one of these things. Sorry blog that I haven't updated in like a year... You know me, I'm a busy girl ;)

2013 was kind to me. I went to 2 concerts! A rave (Swedish House Mafia) and a traditional rock (Muse) concert! Wow what an experience. I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone with those ones. I ventured out into the city of Los Angeles with my friends. (quite often if I say so myself). Eating yummy foods and having an overall great adventure.

I guess another thing I should point that out that I have found a person who truly understands me and also likes me for it too! Say what. He makes me see the world in a different perspective, supports me, and believes in me. (I do hope never sees this though ha ha)

UCLA was a good experience. I finished my first year! Man it is rough! But what I learned that choosing the major I had chosen was the best decision ever. Everybody in my major are simply delightful. (ehem unlike those cutthroat ones that would refuse to help me in biochem) I did feel kind of sad that I basically had to spend an entire summer in LA, but it is all for the better. Also I declare my favorite class ever at UCLA is Film 133. I had the coolest TA and all we ever did was watch movies in class.

Fall came and man, I was just waiting for winter to come!
Winter came and I ended the year with VEGAS. First ever, real road trip with my friends. Man the memories and laughs we shared.

Well, it's time to see what new years resolution I have completed this year:

1. Be healthy
No. If anything, I was the complete opposite. Too much good food to be consumed.

2. Get better grades
Hey I did this! Yay me ! Though... to be honest the good grades only come from from my major classes and my electives . hehe still counts!

3. Be more productive/active
Okay, so I DID volunteer last year, but I wasn't able to do any research projects. So I guess it still counts as a victory! Yay me. I win.

2/3 would do again. (MEME!)

Well 2014, I have a lot of expectations and things in store for you...

My 2014 New Years Resolutions are:

1. Be healthy
Yea... I think I might ACTUALLY have to start on this one. My hair and face have been lacking of the vitamins. lols LINDA GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER.

2. Get better grades
Yeah yeah this is the same as last year, but who doesn't want to always get better grades?

3. Pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination
I have literally put this off for too many months. I take it in a few weeks. Even though everybody says its an easy pass.. I'M STILL SCARED!

4. Be bold
I have realized that I have been a bit of a push over in the past few years... time to change that. Go bold or go home! What is bold? Style & personality.

These are all that I can think of at the moment. Well 2014, you certainly did start off with a bang ;)

So many feelings...

I don't even know where to begin...

I guess I kind of went on a not-really a date yesterday? I mean we did visit the Griffith Observatory and like it was sort of romantic with couples all around us. I'm pretty sure he tried to make a couple moves the whole night & offered to pay for dinner.

But the thing is...
It's not him, it's ME.

I mean I know it's a common phrase and everything, but really it is! He's a nice guy and I'm sure he did everything right. It's just that, I don't go for nice guys. Which really is my problem. I know the person is up to know good and we're bad for each other but it's like the hope that one day things change that keeps me going. Is it weird? Maybe.

Also, I guess I AM kind of leading him on? But attention is nice... for a change. It's weird because he accepts me... as me? Like the whole package. Weirdness and all. And I know I'm odd at times and it puts off a lot of people. But it doesn't seem to scare him off. He sees it as unique and interesting.

Now I know how CHAIR (Chuck and Blair) shippers feel.
I'm a firm DAIR (Dan and Blair) shipper because THAT'S how a girl is SUPPOSED to be treated. He is SUPPOSED to be head over heels for her, have everything in common, and do everything to get her back. He also accepts who she is as a person, and doesn't try to change her or bring out the worst in her. He challenges her intellectually. He does not take her for granted because he knows she will always be there waiting for him. Yeah I'm hypocrite. I want a Chuck archetype in my life & won't settle for a Dan. I understand everything now.

Yeah, I really need to get a move on with my research stuff. It's like I don't know what to do... too scared.

2012: Another Reflection!

Well... unlike last year where I didn't do all that much, 2012 has been truly great to me. As usual, I panicked about school (not getting in anywhere & not passing classes). Which, I guess turned out to be okay.

Life is weird that way. For as long as I could remember, I've always wanted to go to UCSD. But you know what? I'm at UCLA now & content with it.

I also went on an incredible 2 month trip to Vietnam. Though, I didn't really do all the things I wanted, it was an amazing experience to venture out on my own and be an independent person for once.

So let's see what 2011 New Years Resolutions I've accomplished:

1. Try new things
I guess I did this! New school, new experiences. Met new people. A+ for me!

2. Be healthy
HAHA. no. And also near the end of 2012, I'm pretty sure I had a chronic cough for like 8 weeks. This one never stood a chance.

3. Be the change you want to be
I'm not so sure on this. But I guess in a way I did follow my instincts. However, I'm not quite there yet, because I haven't reached my full potential. I'm still stuck on the "meh" phase.

So I read somewhere that when you do a New Years Resolution, you are less likely to do it because by telling someone else you already feel enough gratitude to not do it... if that makes sense? Well, I like doing them because then there is a list I can refer back to and just keep it in my mind.

Thank you 2012. You were great. Here's to hoping 2013 is just as eventful and wonderful!

And my 2013 New Years Resolutions are:

1. Be healthy
How about we just keep this one.. for the sake of keeping this one. Maybe one year I will actually follow through with this. *crosses fingers*

2. Get better grades
Oh wow something school related! Well I didn't do as well as I had hoped to last quarter. Here is to hoping that I do better!

3. Be more productive/active
Which means.. LAND THOSE RESEARCH PROJECTS & ACTUALLY VOLUNTEER. I know it's a lot of work and I'm beginning to question my career path again. But you never know if you don't try right?

Well that's all for now.. ON WITH THE SHOW!
